Sun, 26 Mar DAY Warrandyte-Eltham circuit. A wonderful walk with beautiful views of the Yarra River and delightful woodland countryside. Explores a section of the Yarra River using bush tracks and a few off-track sections. Some significant indigenous, environmental and historic sites will be visited. M 13 km
Sat, 1 Apr DAY Mt Macedon. An 18km walk in the Macedon Regional Park. The initial climb of 350m is over 2km. Generally the track is a good forest surface with gravel road in some sections. There is a steep descent from Mt Towrong at the end of the walk over exposed rocks (200m over 1.5km) This will be slippery if wet. Boots and poles are essential. Fabulous views in several directions if the weather is clear. M/H 18 km

CYC Gippsland Plains Rail Trail Bike Ride. Traralgon to Stratford ride, stay overnight 63km one way then return next day. M 63 km
Thu, 6 Apr DAY Brighton trees and tall poppies. Starting at the new Elster creek wetlands in Elsternwick, the walk takes in some of the old mansion gardens in Brighton and some of the stories of the occupants of early Brighton, notably the "squire" Henry Dendy and his business partner JB Were. This walk uses public transport to get to the start (Elsternwick Station) and to leave the area (North Brighton Station). We will have a coffee stop in Gardenvale and lunch (BYO) in the Billilla mansion garden. S 10 km
Sat, 8 Apr DAY Warburton - Backstairs track, Mt Little Joe track rail trail. A circuit walk climbing the Back stairs track, along the Mt Little Joe track to Westburn and return via the rail trail Enjoy the heavily timbered areas which once provided timber for local sawmills and enjoy the historical avenue of honour along the rail trail section. M/H 16 km
Sun, 9 Apr DAY Wombelano Falls, Kinglake National Park. A 15km walk through the northern section of the Kinglake National Park. We will climb about 560m in total. Colourful birds, wildflowers, mostly excellent 4x4 tracks. Two creek crossings; after heavy rain, crocks may be useful. Loose stones and twigs on the track can make it slippery. M 15 km
Thu, 13 Apr DAY Newmarket to Yarraville. Travel by Metro to Newmarket (Craigieburn line). Walk from the former Newmarket Saleyards (1859 to 1987) to Yarraville mainly via the historic Stock Route and the Maribyrnong River trail. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E 12 km
Fri, 14-15 Apr CYC O'Keefe Rail Trail - Bendigo to Heathcote return. This mostly flat trail runs beside the old railway line and passes through some wonderful bushland, waterways and recreation reserves. Take the train or your car to Bendigo and pack your bag for a stopover in Heathcote at the Commercial Hotel. 6 rooms are tentatively booked (from around $99 per night.) Return to Bendigo on Saturday 15th and head home. Cycling time each way is approximately 3hrs at 16km/h, 5hrs at 10km/h. Rest stops are not taken into this calculation. Early booking is important. Sat, 15 Apr DAY Mt. Evelyn to Silvan Dam. A 14 km circuit walk following old aqueduct tracks to Silvan Reservoir. We will climb about 490 m in total, on some 4x4 and some single file bush tracks. A number of hills are very steep, both up and down . Very slippery when wet. Many colourful birds; lots of kookaburras. M 14 km
Sun, 16 Apr DAY Emerald to Cockatoo via Wright Forest. Circuit walk passing Emerald Lake, through the Wright Forest to Cockatoo. We could spot the Puffing Billy. Autumn colours will be stunning. M 16 km
