Wed, 19 Aug DAY Bushland to the Bay. Enjoy the little-known Frankston and Sweetwater Creek Nature Reserve's flora and fauna as we walk through undulating hills and bushland. This 13km undulating walk commences in the bushland of the outskirts of Frankston, and lunch at Oliver's Hill before returning to the bush for afternoon tea. M 13 km
Wed, 19 Aug DAY Bushranger's Bay. Leaving from the eastern end of the carpark at Cape Schanck Lighthouse. Walk along the clifftop through coastal alkaline and swamp scrub enjoying great coastal views. Climb down steps to the magnificent Bushrangers Bay for morning tea on the beach (tide permitting). Continue north along the Two Bays Walking Track towards the picnic ground at Boneo Road for lunch. Return to the Cape Schanck Lighthouse for afternoon tea. E/M 12 km
Thu, 20 Aug DAY Corhanwarrabul Wetlands and Jells Park. Catch Metro to Huntingdale (Cranbourne/Pakenham lines) and a route 900 Stud Park SC bus to Haverbrack Dve/Wellington Rd Wheelers Hill. Walk around the Mulgrave Wetlands and loop around the Corhanwarrabul Wetlands. Explore Jells Park (127 hectare). At the end of the walk, catch a route 753 bus to Glen Waverley station. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E/M 14 km
Fri, 21 Aug DAY Barwon River Trail. This circuit walk gently winds along the Barwon River in Geelong, allowing you time to soak up the abundant riverside vegetation, wildlife & wetlands. This walk can be accessed via public transport. E 13 km
Sat, 22 Aug DAY Westona to Williamstown via Cherry Lake & Coastal Park. Starting at Westona Station the walk loops around Cherry Lake and then links up with the Altona Coastal Park. After a circuit of the park the walk continues on to finish at the Williamstown Railway Station through the old "Rifle Range" area along part of the Hobson's Bay trail. E 14 km
Sat, 22 Aug DAY French Island- Explore and search Koala. Travel to French Island on Ferry from Stoney Point. Walk from Tankerton Jetty to French Island General store for late morning tea. Then walk along Clump Rd nicknamed "Koala Alley". Previous walks we have seen up to 60 Koala, but they are eating themselves out of food. We then visit the Pinnacle and then head to coast. Lunch will be on the track. Continue along the coast road in time to meet the ferry back to Stoney Point. Ferry booking required- free for Seniors. Suitable for new members. E 13 km
