Woodend to Macedon. Travel by V/Line (myki usable) to Woodend (Bendigo line). After a quick loop around the township of Woodend, we make our way to Macedon on a mixture of trails, quiet country roads and bush tracks. A highlight of the walk is the view of Mount Macedon (615m) in the distance. Sounds of native birds and some pink and white heath. Southern Cross departure 9:05am; arrival 3:25pm. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. |

Bungal Forest. A lovely walk through open forest passing disused mine sites, gravel pit and with views over adjacent farmland. Off track walking to the top of some knolls and across country . Hopefully walk into the forest via the southern access track so we can see the greenhood orchids. This will depend on how flooded the southern access track and ford is. Alternative is to take the northern access track. |

Freemans Track. Come and celebrate Christmas, and a wonderful 2024 year end, which includes BBC’s 40th anniversary.
A marvelous walk under the canopy of tall eucalyptus and giant fern trees. In February 2009, 45 per cent of Bunyip State Park was burnt by wildfire despite of this event the forest has recovered. This track has been adopted by BBC and club members as well as BTAC have been very busy constructing steps on an area that is subject to erosion. BBC also maintains this track. |
