Point Nepean Base Camp. This base camp will be conducted over 4 nights/5days. We will be staying in Discovery tents at Point Nepean National Park (link below). Day walks will be at Red Hill, Two Bays and Point Nepean. Fitness is required for all walks and in particular Baldry's Crossing 18km walk. Walkers will be required to book and pay for the tent.
Preference given to those who can bring their car.

Great Ocean Walk. Great Ocean Walk from Apollo Bay to Visitor Centre at 12 Apostles. This 97km medium to hard walk traverses beaches, clifftops and forests. It takes you deep into the Great Otways and Port Campbell National Parks. Day 1 is drive to 12 Apostles to leave cars and then transport to overnight in Marengo. Days 2 to 7 are walking with daily kms 19, 21, 14, 14, 13, 16. Camping at the National Park camp sites (3 sided shelter, water and drop toilets). 6 days food to carry. |

At the end of the walk, catch Metro at Albion (Watergardens/Sunbury line). Note: Watergardens/Sunbury line trains now travel via the Metro Tunnel. Arden to Newport. Travel by Metro to Arden (Metro Tunnel station). Walk from Arden station to Newport station via North Melbourne, Kensington, Footscray, Yarraville and Newport. The walk incorporates a look at recently built infrastructure such as the Metro Tunnel, the West Gate Tunnel and a new section of walking trail connecting the Maribyrnong River Trail to Yarraville Gardens. At the end of the walk, catch Metro from Newport (Werribee/Williamstown lines). Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. |
