Sun, 1 Oct DAY Daylesford Wombat Creek. A pleasant walk featuring Lake Daylesford, Jubilee Lake, the Goldfields Track, forest paths, the Lost Children Walk, and mineral springs. In the afternoon the path follows the route of the old Creswick-Daylesford Railway (which was constructed in 1867 and closed in 1953). M 14 km
Thu, 5 Oct DAY Collingwood Station to Merri Station along the Merri Creek. We follow the Yarra River to Dwights Falls, then change to the Merri Creek . There is a short piece of street walking to get down onto the river then all trail. E 12 km
Sun, 8 Oct DAY Red hill Circuit via Merricks. Meet at Bushland Reserve on the corner of Callanans Rd - Melway191A7 at 9:00am.We start walking at 9:15am down Station Rd along wide grass verge. Then a 4wd power line easement. Track swings right, exiting at Tar Barrel Corner - the intersection of Red Hill Rd and Stanley's Rd. We then walk along the northern grassy verge of Stanley's Rd with views of farmland and the Ocean.We then turn right into Tonkins Rd which descends steeply to Coolart Creek ascending back to Red Hill via the trail. Sun, 8 Oct DAY Highfield - Greensbush circuit. An interesting circular walk from the old Highfield camp. The walk passes through Point Nepean National Park, joining part of the Two Bays walk from Greens Bush onwards. M 19 km
Wed, 11 Oct DAY First Aid Course -PROVIDE FIRST AID BLENDED (HLTAID011B). Training in first aid responses and life support‚ this course includes management of casualties, the incident and other first aiders and covers a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community to manage a first aid emergency until medical assistance arrives. Basic Life Support - DRSABCD , CPR and AED Allow up to 4 hours to complete your online learning before attending your classroom session. The course runs from 9.30 am to approx 4.00 pm. S 1 km
Thu, 12 Oct DAY Craigieburn: Aitken and Malcolm Creek Trails. Catch Metro to Craigieburn. Walk the Aitken and Malcolm Creek Trails and see the extensive revegetation done along the two creek corridors. Native grasslands and grassy woodlands such as those found in Malcom Creek Nature Reserve occurred across the Craigieburn area before European settlement. There are some 400 year old River Red Gums on this walk. At the end of the walk, route 533 bus to Craigieburn station. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. Fri, 13-20 Oct BC Benalla Silo Art & Warby Ranges Wangaratta Base Camp. There will be day walks in the Warby ranges, the Winton wetlands, a drive to see the Benalla Silo and street art, a Ned Kelly and winery tour. Our Tuscany vibe accommodation is a converted church at Thoona, halfway between Benalla and Wangaratta. The church can accommodate 4 couples and 5 single people. Preference will be given to couples and new members. M 11 km
Thu, 19 Oct DAY Essendon to Footscray. This is an Easy/Medium walk from Essendon to Footscray along the Maribrynong River. We will travel to Essendon by train and then by bus to the start of the walk. At Footscray we will have afternoon tea and then catch a train home. E/M 14 km

Trentham is a two hour drive from Hampton. I plan to stay overnight Friday and Saturday, do a medium walk on Saturday and an easy walk on Sunday (no. 6 if available), and attend the dinner on Saturday night. Sun, 22 Oct DAY 1000 steps. Meet at the 1000 steps, Upper Ferntree Gully at 900am start walking at 9.15am. We start at the car park walking around the base, with long climbs involved. The track can be slippery because of the gravel stones. Some of the tracks include Bellview, Boulevard , Feather, View, Chandler and Tyson tracks. Lunch will be at One Tree Hill, and finishing up by walking down the Lyrebird Track, back to the cars. M/H 14 km
