Mon, 8 Dec DAY Christmas Drinks 5-7 pm Monday 8 December 2025. Come join your fellow walkers at Brighton Beach Hotel, for a drink to celebrate the end of the year, and a Joyous Christmas. Wed, 10 Dec CYC Sandringham Railway Station to City Ride. Bike paths along beach road to Port Melbourne with coffee break along the way. Meet at station at 9am and bring a myki card for return trip.Some riders may prefer to meet along the bike path. E 25 km
Thu, 11 Dec DAY Wendouree to Ballarat. Travel by V/Line to Wendouree (Ballarat line, myki usable). The walk highlights the attractions of Ballarat and surrounds. See the impressive Christmas decorations in Sturt Street for “Christmas in Ballarat” festivities. Southern Cross departure 8:36am, arrival 3:31pm. Sat, 13 Dec DAY Freemans Track. Come and celebrate Christmas, and a wonderful 2025 year end. This is an easier Freeman Mill walk. A marvelous walk under the canopy of tall eucalyptus and giant fern trees. In February 2009, 45 per cent of Bunyip State Park was burnt by wildfire despite of this event the forest has recovered. This track has been adopted by BBC and club members as well as BTAC have been very busy constructing steps on an area that is subject to erosion. BBC also maintains this track. E 10 km

Sun, 14 Dec DAY Woodlands Historic Park, Greenvale. An easy-medium trail through bushland with old gum trees, kangaroo sightings, and a Sugar Gum Plantation. A detour to see the Weerona Cemetery. Short hill walk up Gellibrand Hill for a panorama view of Melbourne Airport, the city, Dandenongs, Mt Macedon etc. Easy walk to Woodlands Homestead - historic home and grounds for retired race horses. Picnic in the surrounding gardens. Walk finishes with the Murrup Gurrong Yan circuit to see gnarly River Gums and learn the indigenous history there. E 14 km
Thu, 18 Dec DAY Thursday Christmas Walk. Annual Christmas walk through Melbourne’s iconic parks and gardens. Commencing at Albert Park Lake and continuing via the Shrine, Botanical Gardens, Yarra Park, Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens to Birrarung Marr and concluding at Federation Square. E 12 km
