DAY You Yangs circuit walk. We begin with a walk up to Flinders Peak for sweeping views of Melbourne and Geelong. Then down to join the circuit walk which offers high views of the Stone Bujil and distant views of Port Phillip Bay. Along the way we pass through some great rock formations. There are some short steep hills along the way. M 12 km

DAY Kananook Creek via George Pentland Gardens in Frankston. Catch train to Frankston. Walk to George Pentland Botanic Gardens in Frankston and then to start of Kananook Creek path, continue walking to either Seaford or Carrum. E 12 km
Thu, 2 Dec DAY Barrm Birrm at Riddells Creek. Travel by V/Line (myki zone 1/2) to Riddells Creek (two stations beyond Sunbury on the Bendigo line). Walk to Barrm Birrm which is the woodland backdrop to the township of Riddells Creek. Barrm Birrm is known for its wildflowers in Spring and there is a very good wildflower display this year. Sat, 4 Dec DAY Flinders Ramble. Circuit of Flinders and surrounds, including a visit to the blowhole and some rural landscapes. Stunning views of Westernport from the ridge line. Some hills which are steep. Boots required as it can be muddy.Poles highly advisable. M 14 km
Sun, 5 Dec DAY Warrandyte Explorer #8. An interesting, undulating walk through parklands in Warrandyte South and Warranwood. It will take in such parks as Monterey Bush Park, McAlpin Reserve, Quambee Reserve and Warranwood Reserve at an easy pace. The walk will mostly be on bush tracks and horse trails but, with one short slippery section, trekking poles will be helpful. Double vaccinated walkers only, please. M 13 km
Mon, 6-11 Dec BC canoe the Hattah Lakes. It is hoped that the Hattah Lakes will be flooded so our goal is to canoe from lake to lake. If that is not the case, then we will canoe the Murray River. We will head up to the Lakes on the Monday, set up camp, canoe Tuesday to Friday departing on Saturday. The cost will be aprox $180 but this will be adjusted later. X 20 km
Mon, 6 Dec DAY BBC Christmas Picnic at Braeside Park. Come along and meet friends for an end of year get together. 4pm-7pm Rosella shelter Carpark 9, enter from Lower Dandenong Road. Look for the shelter with Christmas decorations. BYO: Drinks and food Optional: Chairs, tables, picnic rug. S 1 km
Tue, 7 Dec CYC Bike Riders of Tuesday [BROT]. Bike Riders of Tuesday [BROT] is a social bike ride Tuesday mornings, starting at 9.30 am at the Paper Boy Cafe [370 Hampton St. Hampton]. Depending on the wind direction, riding north to the CBD or south to Mordialloc. The ride is on bike paths and you might need to take the train when you complete the ride. E/M 20 km
Thu, 9 Dec DAY Taylors Lakes to Brimbank Park. Catch Metro to Watergardens (Sunbury line). Walk the Taylors Creek Linear Park and then into Brimbank Park, Keilor. Taylors Creek Woodland with its massive River Red Gums is a highlight. At walk's end catch a 421 bus to St Albans or Keilor Plains (Sunbury line). Sun, 12 Dec DAY Kurth Kiln - Gembrook. Kurth Kiln was built to provide charcoal to use in cars during the war, an interesting relic from this time. Nearby the delightful Tomahawk Creek and it's tracks lined with ferns, and a patch of beautiful tall gums have survived the early logging. This walk is only for fully vaccinated people. Please follow the government rules regarding Covid. E/M 12 km
